Laboratory Operations Manager/Director with a Masters in Biomedical Science looking for their next opportunity. Experience of setting up laboratories internationally and working in clinical trials, having worked in start-ups and scale up he has a good understanding of some of the challenges these environments present.

With a background of working in high profile organisations within laboratory environments in and around the Cambridgeshire and Suffolk area we have 3 strong Managers looking for the next step in their career.

● Biological Laboratory Management: Proven track record of effectively managing local and international laboratory operations, overseeing day-to-day activities, and optimising workflow to achieve organisational goals. Experienced in resource allocation, budgeting, and equipment maintenance.
● Process Improvement: Skilled in identifying areas for improvement and implementing strategies to enhance laboratory processes, productivity, and efficiency.
● Regulatory Compliance: Thorough understanding of regulatory requirements and standards within the biotechnology industry, including Good Laboratory Practices (GLP), Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) and Good Clinical Practice (GCP).
● Genetically Modified Organism (GMO) laboratory design, build and management.
● Ensure adherence to safety protocols and maintain documentation for audits.
● Team Leadership: Exceptional leadership abilities, including mentoring and training laboratory staff, fostering a collaborative work environment, and motivating teams to achieve objectives. Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
● Quality Assurance: Proficient in developing and implementing quality control systems, conducting quality audits, and ensuring compliance with standard operating procedures (SOPs) to maintain the accuracy and reliability of laboratory results.
● Technical Expertise: Comprehensive knowledge of human physiology, various laboratory techniques and instruments used in biotechnology research, such as PCR, cell culture, DNA sequencing, and protein purification. Proficient in the setup of laboratory information management systems (LIMS) and data analysis tools.
