HIRED - Laboratory Technician | £23,000 - £25,000

An interesting and diverse opportunity has arisen for a Laboratory Technician to join our client’s 

team local to Newmarket to play a crucial role in their existing production team.  If you are the type of person that is looking for a supportive and encouraging employer that care about the wellbeing of their team, then this position could be worth exploring. 

With free onsite parking, variety and autonomy in your day to day role, you will get the chance to use your experience of working in a Laboratory environment with a great team. 

Much of your focus will be on the production and quality control of reagents used in their products, 

and you will be working in a busy laboratory, contributing not only to manufacturing but also ensuring compliance is adhered to.  Additionally, you’ll be responsible for maintaining the laboratory and performing day-to-day activities to keep the department running smoothly.

As the Laboratory Technician you will be responsible for:   

• Preparation of solutions

• Handling Production tasks including preparation of various assay reagents and controls

• Manual quality control testing of assay reagents and kits

• Participate and complete training and compliance processes

• Perform pH testing, assess bioburden, and handle laboratory cleaning.

As the Laboratory Technician you will:

• Have a scientific background or equivalent qualifications (e.g., GCSE / A Level) are essential.

• Have a familiarity with laboratory procedures and techniques.

• Be reliable and professional with a strong attention to detail and be comfortable with minor manual lifting.

The work you’ll contribute is vital to their entire production process, and your attention to detail and
